His Star Wars books are pretty good, starting with the Thrawn Trilogy, about a tactician named Grand Admiral Thrawn, who, five years after the events of Return of the Jedi, is kicking Rebel ass by careful applications of tactics and psychology. So if you're into large, ongoing mythologies with tactics and good character development, that's a nice one.Īlso, anything by Timothy Zahn, like "The Icarus Hunt," is usually a safe bet, too. First one is called "On Basilisk Station," and it's been going on for decades. ![]() If you haven't tried David Weber's "Honor Harrington" series, I'd say you're on safe grounds there. It's okay, but I haven't yet tried StarForce. ![]()
